My love is like a ticking clock

my love is like a ticking clock

Polapremium just came to my attention. Tonnes of discussions going on all over the tubes. Here is a great photoblog and post about it.

Also… If you participated in TOP TEN RECORDS – keep an eye on your mailbox – everyone who sent an SASE (or internationally, sent some Ameri-bux) should have their Top Ten back within the week – depending on post speeds.

Thanks all who contributed. Was a great show, helped spread lots of Polaroid love, the book is underway. If you didn’t get a chance to scan your Polaroids and you want to be included, drop me a line.

A few installation snaps are online now. Better images will be put up next week once I drag my gear to school. Show comes down November 1st.
(Exhibition extended for John Wood and other VSW excitement)

Top Ten Records – Countdown —0—!

Top Ten Records are due today!

Here are a few Top Ten lists from the internet tubes:

Time’s Top 50 Top Ten lists from 2007

Alternet’s slightly more dated Ten Best Top Ten Lists from 2005

And for nerdy web-designers…
Jakob Nielson’s Top Ten Mistakes in Web Design (2007) and his original list from 1996

Top Ten Records – Countdown —1—

One day left to get your entry in to the Top Ten Records show. Make sure you get your package postmarked by Friday, Aug. 22, 2008 to be included.

Top Ten Records – Countdown —2—

Two days left to get your Top Ten Records Polaroids made. Load that expensive 600 film and get snapping.

Although I don’t normally condone the fake Polaroid integral print frame, here is some inspiration from a design savvy site using that ubiquitous white frame. Good design makes bad design look SO bad.

Polaroid 600 film – $13/pack

Super sleuthy Lukeadelphia has uncovered a great (well, relatively, in 2008 terms) source of Polaroid 600 film.

Staples!

I found a four pack in Berkeley, CA for $51.99, but couldn’t find anything online.
($13 a pack! $1.30 a shot! that is 40% than the average price everywhere else! yeah for math!)
